I know this has been done many times before, but I wanted to practice drawing eyes, and explaining how I do stuff to others always makes me really analyse what I do, which helps.

One thing that has helped me with my eye study was to add a texture from some tree bark at the very end and use the transform tool to curve it around the eye area. Then I just fiddle with the layer properties and the opacity until it looks natural.
