Artist's Comments

Someone needs to confiscate my tablet during exam preparation week. I was just going to do a quick sketch before breakfast, and then I ended up spending all day on it. :dead: But I love how it turned out!

I am still playing with colours and pushing the photorealism of my paintings. I would relly appreciate any advice on how I can improve this painting, and things I should look out for in the next one!

I started out with a picture of a fashion model as reference, but I forgot her name and I can't find the original website. If anyone recognizes her, please let me know. It probably doesn't look that much like her anymore though, I changed some features, did the hair completely differently and added the flowers.

This was inspired by *AURORY, he draws so beautiful girls..

Poppy reference from ~chymere-stock.

You have this fantastic photorealism going on in her face, which lessens a little with the smooth edges of the poppy, and then her hair gets pretty nebulous. But I really can't speak - hair is my bane, and ultrarealistic hair takes ridiculous amounts of effort.

Thanks for the comment. I'm scared of hair, especially like now when I didn't have any references for it. But that is no excuse for doing a half-assed job, I know.. I am planning to do a big hair-project soon, to practice and get more confidence so that maybe one day I can try a somewhat more interesting hairstyle than this. :XD: I'm not sure about how to make the poppies more realistic though, do you think I should sharpen up the edges where the meet the background..?

It's so lovley. I adore the flower and her skin is very pretty. :3
Something about the right eye looks a little strange though, Might just be me.

Hair is terrifying. XD
I was mostly caught by the edge of the petal above her eye - it struck me as an area of fuzziness, maybe just add the thinnest of lines to make it stand out a little more? Or maybe I'm talking out my ass, haha.

the lips are gorgeous and supple. i love the softness of the hair and the glistening eyes.
Very realistic as well.
i can tell you were quite inspired

Your portrait became very beautiful Lady Edana, I envy you therefore. The face is like out of Meissner Porzelan formed and bribes by the delicate contour leadership. The combination of poppy flower and seductive mouth creates a passionate contrast to the other pastel delicate Farbgebung. You are not angry make an expert in the Porträtzeichnen and I yourself my compliment for that my Lady. (I
hope you understand my commentary my english is would be so bad me)
